i used to think tumblr was pointless, cause all you do is re blog photos, videos etc

when i was surfing the net the other day, usual stuff, i found this tumblr page purplecocoapowder. this person posted the most amazing things. a lot of cupcakes & sweets, which is what i love. 

so for some reason, i decided to make a tumblr account and try it out myself. i must say it is quite addictive. i started off with posting some photos of my own, and then.. the re blogging of other people's photos started. 

since i am quite a music lover myself, i am going to dedicate my tumblr to (i love saying this word) tumm-be-lerr; in my opinion, are some musical legends, well pretty much any musicians i'm obsessed with. and then there are pictures of food, some photos from this blog & random pictures of myself. i made my first gif. last night.

Awesome Clothes From The 90s (My Mother's Closet)

mom was clearing out her old clothes so i decided to take some

wow this photo is super blurry. can't be bothered taking another one though. i adore this gorgeous knit top, it's super comfy, i love the color combo but it probably will be too hot for summer :(

my auntie made this almost peplum top look-alike, she is a designer. there is another similar red&green one, but my sister took it. the animal print is so sick, i don't even know what animal this is from?  

tie-dye shirt, it's slightly cropped, so perfect for summer. and yup,one button is missing. because i was so rough & i accidentally yanked the whole thing out.  

mom told me she got this overseas. even though i don't support the idea of using genuine leather or skin for apparel purposes. i really can't resist this vest.  

it is not denim, but it is very very wrinkly,  like an old person's butt. it is almost brand new cause mom bought it but decided that she didn't like the color so she never wore it. she said it was too expensive to throw away, i think this blazer is older than me

seriously, i was so happy when i found these clothes. they are just as good as brand new ones. the quality of these clothes are amaze balls.  new clothes, new clothes, new clothes. WINNING!

Good Bronzer, Bad Bronzer? Bobbi Brown, Dior & Max Factor

i tend to splurge when it comes to beauty products especially on anything for the face simply because of the quality. i would feel really guilty if my skin pays the price because i stinge on it. since i  don't normally do dramatic or heavy makeup (so in other words, i am boring & i play safe) i prefer a matte bronzers. 

my first ever bronzer is the Christian Dior Matte Sunshine in 001-Healthy Matte & SPF20

pros: gives a natural yet noticeable glow, leaves my skin very smooth & silky, feels light on my skin, it doesn't leave dirty patches on my face
cons: base color was slightly too pink for my skin tone, compact powder & packaging cracked so easily, quite pricey, so thanks mom for buying it for me!
rating: 7.5/10

in high school, most of my friends were wearing shimmer bronzer, so i gave in to peer pressure and i settled for drug store brand Max Factor Natural Minerals Bronzer in 01-Sun Powder

pros: it came with a mini lid-on-brush, honestly it wasn't that great anyway, i felt like i was rubbing sand paper on my face
cons: made me look like oompa-loopa (even though it was the lightest shade), way too shimmery for me, so bloody messy! the powder flies everywhere when you open the top lid, and also the bottle cracked in my makeup bag (yup, that's sticky tape)
rating:1/10
i'm sorry i'm such a hater but i wouldn't recommend this even to my worst enemy.

my current bronzer is the Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Medium 2 (matte). i absolutely love it! 

pros: blends well, great for contouring, very pigmented, silky finish (makes my skin feel like a baby's bottom)
cons: not long lasting enough for me (which is weird since it's fairly pigmented), after a whole of staying out, i would come home with a bare face, like literally. 
rating: 8/10

Muse Of the Month: Rita Ora

if gwen stefani & rihanna had a love child, 

i'm just a tad obsessed with her new album- 'Ora', i can't really classify her music into one genre. she makes great dance hits like 'how we do' and then there are the more hardcore ones like 'love and war' ft. J Cole. this album is really a blend of everything original.

Happy Birthday To My Beautiful Friend

faith's 20th birthday gathering last sunday. it was nice to dress up, put on a skirt and feel pretty again,

've been  hermitting for the pass 2 weeks with assignments, exams and all. it felt good to have some time out and indulge in yummy desseerts. the highlights would probably be the caramel slice (unfortunately, i couldn't find the photo for that) & the cream cheese icing on the red velvet cupcakes (above). i prefer butter icing & i've been eating it all my life but this was exceptionally tasty! yum. this is ridiculous but i'm back on my cave-man diet. wahh! no more desserts until jan 2013. i had a great time, unfortunately, i had to leave early for more studying. lame excuse. trust me, i know.
